RM20 million Ranau water intake: Masidi
“The water source is from the Nakamura River and filtered at the new plant located near SMK Agama. Hopefully, part of this project can be completed by the end of this year,” Masidi said.
RANAU: Plans for a new clean water intake in Ranau costing about RM20 million to resolve the district’s water woes is currently in the pipeline, said State Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

“The water source is from the Nakamura River and filtered at the new plant located near SMK Agama. Hopefully, part of this project can be completed by the end of this year,” he said.

This can solve two problems, which is that residents get supply of clean water from the pipes in Ranau whether during rainy or dry season as well as supply treated water to those living around Lohan.

He was speaking when officiating the Handing over of Lion’s Head to the Tiong Hua Ranau community in conjunction with the Chinese New Year Festival held at Ranau Hakka Hall, recently.
