LUMADAN: The community in Lumadan can heave a sigh of relief after many years of dealing with water issues.
For almost three decades, they have relied on rainwater harvesting in tanks, wells and water reservoirs to meet daily needs at home.

Risnah Madin, 65, believes that their family’s life has become more complete now that they have a consistent source of water for cooking, cleaning, bathing and other activities.
She said that for the past 30 years, they had relied solely on rainwater collected in tanks or wells, which are not always safe to use.
