TAWAU: Suria @ Rafidah Lika, 47, who was diagnosed with brain tumour on October 13 is finally able to go to the peninsula for further treatment – thanks to a courtesy flight from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).

Her husband, Jamaludin Ahmad, from Rompin Pahang, could not hold back his tears after learning that the application to fly his wife back to the peninsula on an RMAF plane had been approved.

“We initially came to my wife’s village in Pulau Bum-Bum Semporna to rest and take medicine for her frequent headache,” he said when met by the media at the Tawau Airport on Tuesday.

“However, my wife’s condition worsened and she had to be rushed to the Tawau Hospital where she was diagnosed with stage four tumour on her head.
