BEAUFORT: The Lumadan Assemblyman Office with the cooperation of the Beaufort District Forestry Department Office held a mangrove apple tree planting programme at the Weston River here Friday as part of the effort to safeguard the biodiversity of animal and plant habitats.

Lumadan Assemblyman Datuk Ruslan Muharam said as many as 450 mangrove apple trees had been planted at a location covering an area of one hectare near Kampung Nabahan along the banks of the river.
