650 students mark world Children’s Day in Tuaran

Tuaran: A total of 650 students marked World Children’s Day at St John (M), here, aimed at increasing the public’s awareness of the importance of children’s education.
The celebration with the theme of “career” clothing or uniform, was one of the initiatives to celebrate World Children’s Day, which has been celebrated in Malaysia since Oct 8, 1959.
District Education Counselor of Psychology and Counseling Sector of Tuaran District Education Office, Sulaiman Hj Awang said, United Nations (UN) declared World Children’s Day as ‘A Day for Global Brotherhood and Understanding Among Children’ ‘.
