Alexandrea Jong Shiow Xuan, a 12-year-old Primary 6 pupil at SJK(C) Tung Hua in Sibu, won a merit in the Lions International Peace Poster Contest for students ages 11-13.
Kota Kinabalu: Alexandrea Jong Shiow Xuan, a 12-year-old Primary 6 pupil at SJK(C) Tung Hua in Sibu, won a merit in the Lions International Peace Poster Contest for students ages 11-13.
She was one of the 23 young artists selected from over 600,000 participants worldwide to express their vision of peace through art.
“My inspiration for this poster was to convey my ‘dare-to-dream’ message and a longing for peace to everyone in the world. No matter what background or where you come from, you must dare to dream - even though you may feel like an insignificant speck of dust.
