MEMBAKUT: No schools in Sabah have been closed so far due to the current hot spell, said State Education Exco Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif.

Arifin, who is also Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, said he will keep in in constant contact with the Sabah Education Department to keep tabs on the situation and obtain reports on closure of schools.

“There has also been no report on pupils or students who fainted or fell sick due to the extreme hot weather,” said Arifin, who is also Membakut Assemblyman, when met at his Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house, here, Saturday.
