Tan should waste no time getting SESB back

Good news for Datuk Raymond Tan that Tenaga Nasional Berhad is willing to sell all its 100pc shares of Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd to the Sabah Government.

Tan should immediately proceed with the acquisition (purchase) of Sabah Electricity from Tenaga Nasional Berhad for the Sabah Government to own 100pc Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. from Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

As far as it is known, the Federal Government never and ever “rampas” (grab) anything belonged to Sabah.

Tan can also pursue a number of Sabah companies to take over Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd from West Malaysian holdings. This is good move and people of Sabah would be proud of Tan who is taking back Sabah’s Rights and properties from the Federal Government and West Malaysian Holdings.

Recently Tan blamed Tun Mahathir who took Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. by force. This is completely ridiculous.

Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd was handed in good faith to Tenaga Nasional Berhad because it is “rugi” all along.

It is understood it is still “rugi”.

That was among the reasons why Tenaga Nasional Berhad did not incorporate Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd into Tenaga Nasional Berhad Establishment and instead it established separate company with Sabah State participation. Thus, Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. is entitled for grant and subsidy from the Federal Government.

However, Tan at the District Action Development Committee meeting Sandakan last week claimed that Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd is making money. Therefore, it is important for Tan to demand the return of SESB to Sabahans. This is just the beginning.

There are many others. Please help Sabah to recover all its rights taken over by the Federal Government quietly or by pressure.

With the good relationship of the Prime Minister with Sabah Leaders, especially Tan himself, the State Government of Sabah should ask the Prime Minister to sell Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. to the State for just RM1.00.

Surely Tenaga Nasional Berhad will be relieved of the burden of subsidising electricity in Sabah.

Sarawak Electricity Board is doing very well making money all the time. Surely Sabah can do the same Tan.

The people of Sabah are looking for your initiative and leadership to take back Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd from the Federal Government. The taking over is easy.

The Prime Minister has openly and publicly committed that the Federal Government will return Sabah’s rights on condition that there’s no talk about Independence, and the people of Sabah must support Barisan coming election.
