Kota Kinabalu: The Government, through the Department of Trade Union Affairs, is stepping up efforts to empower the trade union movement in the country and promote fair wages for workers.
In a move aimed at creating harmony, the department is actively implementing various programmes to support and strengthen trade unions.

Permanent Secretary of State Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Datuk Mohd Hanafiah Mohd Kassim said these programmes serve as catalyst for the labour movement to become more dynamic and progressive.
His speech was delivered by the Ministry’s Deputy Permanent Secretary I Rusdi Belun in conjunction with the State-level 2024 Workforce Transformation through Training and Wages Programme at The Klagan Regency in 1Borneo, here, recently.
