Motorcyclist killed in Penampang
The deceased’s motorcycle and the Myvi.
PENAMPANG: A 56-year-old motorcyclist died after crashing into a Perodua Myvi when exiting a junction near SMK Putatan, on Monday.

Penampang District Police Chief Supt Sammy Newton said they received a report at 2.38pm.

He said investigations revealed the Myvi was heading towards Kampung Contoh in Putatan. 

“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical officer.

“He was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for an autopsy while the car driver was uninjured,” he said in a statement.

Sammy said the case is investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

He urged witnesses of the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
