Andy said Sabah boasts three industrial parks, namely Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP), POIC Lahad Datu and Sabah Oil and Gas Industrial Park (Sogip), apart from two new industrial parks in the near future, serving as a strategic hub for economic activities and presenting opportunities for investment and growth.
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah is seeking investors to explore investment opportunities in its solar panel ecosystem which offers immense potential, said Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Assistant Minister Datuk Andi Muhammad Suryady Bandy.

According to him, Sabah has established a promising partnership with Kibing Group, an established corporation from China that excels in solar glass manufacturing, enacting the potential for investment and growth, particularly in renewable energy, in the State.

He said this in extending an invitation to a visiting Jiangxi Province business delegation at the Jiangxi China & Sabah Malaysia Business Forum 2024, organised by his Ministry in collaboration with Sabah Young Business & Industry Leaders Network (SyBIL) and Invest Sabah Berhad as co-organisers, at Shangri-La Tanjung Aru, here, Friday.

Andi, who represented Phoong at the event, said to support interested investors, his Ministry has established a dedicated task force committed to assisting them every step of the way.

Furthermore, he said Sabah boasts three industrial parks, namely Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP), POIC Lahad Datu and Sabah Oil and Gas Industrial Park (Sogip), apart from two new industrial parks in the near future, serving as a strategic hub for economic activities and presenting opportunities for investment and growth.

“I am confident that this visit will pave the way for enhanced collaboration and partnership between Jiangxi Province and Sabah towards a shared vision of prosperity and development,” he said.

The presence of the Jiangxi business delegation marked a significant milestone in the effort to foster stronger ties and collaboration between the two regions, he added.

“This symbolises the friendship between us and commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China. I am optimistic that the event today would serve as a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration across various sectors.”

Andi said Sabah places great emphasis on sectors that lean towards sustainable development.

“We hope to learn from each other’s expertise and experiences.”
