Over 20,000 passengers affected by Sabah flight disruptions

Kota Kinabalu: More than 20,000 passengers were affected following the suspension of all scheduled flights at the Kota Kinabalu, Labuan, Tawau and Sandakan airports today, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

He said Sabah is monitoring the effects of Indonesia’s Mt. Ruang volcanic eruptions closely.

"I have been briefed about the situation and we are keeping tabs. Safety is priority and it's important that we prioritise the safety of the people,” he said in a statement.
