Tan to spur Asean tourism growth

Tan believes showcasing the diverse recreational activities offered by multiple destinations within Asean will greatly appeal to tourists exploring the region.
Kuala Lumpur: Datuk Tan Kok Liang has taken over the helm of the Federation of Asean Travel Associations (Fata).
Fata promotes tourism across the 10 Asean nations.
Under Tan’s leadership, Fata aims to elevate its status and revitalise Asean tourism.
One of the key strategies is to focus on international travel trade shows in the coming months, aiming to position Asean as an attractive destination for international travellers from long-haul markets.
