KOTA KINABALU: The Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) and Wisma Putra are prepared for any potential situations, including the return of 336 Sabah students studying in the Middle East if the current unrest necessitates it.
Science, Technology, and Innovation Education Minister cum State Education Exco Datuk Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif (pic) said Sabah had past experiences in coordinating and monitoring students, including repatriating them during the political crisis in Egypt.

Currently, there are 248 Sabah students in Egypt, 79 in Jordan, and nine in Saudi Arabia, pursuing various majors through scholarships, bursaries, or self-funding.
Arifin, also State Islamic Affairs Exco, advised parents and families of these students to stay calm amid the current crisis in the Middle East, as stated in his Facebook post on Tuesday.
