KOTA KINABALU: Qhazanah Sabah Bhd (QSB) welcomes any company from abroad that wants to work together to invest in Sabah, said its chairman Datuk Yusof Yacob.

"QSB is ready to negotiate and discuss what form of cooperation is suitable with foreign investors, whether from China, Singapore or any other country," he said in a statement today after receiving a visit from a delegation of businessmen from the Global Confederation of Belt and Road Economic Cooperation at Menara Kinabalu here today.

The trade delegation from Singapore and China was led by Xu Feng, the secretary-general and vice-president of the confederation and its executive chairman Chris Chan.

Also present were the deputy chairman of Invest Sabah Bhd George Wong and the deputy chief executive officer of QSB Group Rudy Jaglul.

Commenting on the visit, Yusof, who is also the state assemblyman for Sindumin, said the delegation is a group of businessmen from Singapore and China under the Global Confederation of Belt and Road Economic Cooperation.

"These people are 98 entrepreneurs and businessmen from various industries who are willing to invest and establish cooperation with QSB. We welcome their arrival and will discuss what kind of cooperation will be implemented later.

"However, we have to resolve some basic issues, namely coordination with Invest Sabah Bhd and also other state government-linked companies (GLCs) so that there is no overlap," he said.
