LABUAN: Labuan History Museum which occupies the old-designed iconic 1950 building is the last remaining symbol of century over colonial rule of the island and deserved heritage status classification.
Local historian Willie Teo said this in support of National Unity Minister Aaron Ago Dagang suggesting this during his recent visit here.

British rule of Labuan stretched from 1845 to 1963 and Sir James Brooke was the governor.
“Unfortunately, unlike Penang or Malacca, Labuan does not have any pre-war buildings to reflect old Labuan so being the case old remaining buildings needed to be given recognition,” said Willie.
