Since then, the company has completed 24 units of three-storey shoplots at Parklane City, and 64 units of two-storey shoplots.

The third phase of the two-storey shoplots totalling 50 sold-out units is expected to be completed by the end of December this year, she said.

Parklane City also saw the opening of a McDonald’s drive-thru in November last year.

The much-anticipated 10Star Cinemas is set to commence operation on May 1 this year, followed by the completion of Servay Hypermarket by year end.

Meanwhile, the 90 units of the double-storey Parklane Villa terrace homes have been completed, while the remaining 90 units will be done by December this year.

The three Parklane Villa owners who received their keys yesterday were father and daughter Chung Siew Pin and Erica Chung Fui Ying, and Dr Kew Sieh Teck.

Siew Pin, who is a contractor in Papar, said the reasons he bought Parklane Villa were because the terrace home offer a more comfortable living environment and close proximity to the amenities.

“I can walk around in this area and get some exercise or go to the cinema without having to drive.

“Parklane Villa is also near my office at Benoni Commercial Centre and my workshop too.”

His daughter, Erica, is currently working as a teacher in Semporna but plans to move back to Papar in the future.

On the other hand, Dr Kew is the head of the Pediatric Department at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, who was introduced to Parklane Villa by Susan in a blood donation drive.

He decided to buy Parklane Villa as an investment due to its huge potential being adjacent to the Pan Borneo Highway and the availability of amenities here.

After handing over the keys, Susan led the owners on tour of the show unit and their homes.
