Gamer grandpa earns RM6,000 from live streaming

IT started with an interest in exploring technology, and now 64-year-old Radhuan Othman (pic) can earn a decent income from live streaming, Harian Metro reported.

"I was previously interested in carpentry but switched to video games before the Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented.

"I am always interested in new technology, but I only play games seriously during the MCO," he said.

The grandfather of 16 grandchildren said that after doing live streaming on TikTok, he got the idea to turn the new hobby into an additional source of income.

"Within a month, I managed to generate up to RM6,000 from live streaming and from there, I started upgrading my computer.

"Even though it is considered a hobby, I get extra income, so for me, it is something beneficial."

Radhuan said he usually spent between three and six hours daily to play games.

"Usually, I will start playing between 9pm and 5am, and during the day, I will spend time with my family," he said.
