Tuaran: The Tambalang Race 4 (Class A) today (Sunday) is shaping up to be a scorching affair.
The magnificent four - Brilliant One, Lady Lara, Keepitup, and Super Come – are reasons racing fans continue to throng the Tambalang tracks every Sunday.

Lady Lara can fire well and lead from front while Super Come and Keepitup are expected to chase hard and pounce on the leader in the last furlong.
Brilliant One’s deep experience and track record cannot be dismissed. Zack and Classic Head can be regarded should any one of them switch off momentarily.
On the same day in Ipoh, the prestigious Group 1 Perak Derby (Race 5) over a grueling 2000m features Trumpy, Leopard Eclipse & Ragnar, and the rest.
Pumped with confidence, Trumpy with form jockey M. Lerner taking charge has the edge.

“Lerner’s hat-trick of winners last Saturday in Singapore was outstanding. Leopard Eclipse, one of Semenanjung’s classy-type of thoroughbred over 1400m-1600m range, can still offer a proper fight over the longer distance. Smart and dependable Golden King who rarely disappoints can surprise,” RSTC said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Royal Sabah Turf Club’s (RSTC) pride, Sabah Ace found back his rhythm with a smart run in Kranji on March 23.

With this morale-boosting win, Sabah Ace can home in on a spot in the Group 3 Silver Bowl (1400m) on June 9. Much will depend on his next couple of performances and preparations.
Race goers can visit the Tambalang Racecourse, R.S.T.C.’s Off-Course centres in Tanjung Aru or Keningau to watch “live” Singapore races this Saturday, and local, Perak and Hong Kong races on Sunday.
