Tuaran: Orphans and residents of the Maahaz Tahfiz Home here were recently given the opportunity to learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) training.
This was made possible by the efforts of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sabah Information Chief Junaidah Makku and her team.

She said the initiative aimed not only to impart important life-saving skills but also to bring joy to the Home’s residents and strengthen communal ties.
“It is important for them (Home’s residents) to learn these skills which they can apply in the event of an emergency,” she said. “They are pleased to have the opportunity to learn these skills in addition to religious and academic courses and we are happy to give them the opportunity to learn this life saving skills,” she added.

The programme was attended by Home Principal Junaidah Hassan, PKR Srikandi Head Intan Nadia Bahrin, and over 30 others including orphans, tahfiz students, and tutors.
