Kota Kinabalu: The issue of pig farm waste allegedly entering Sungai Tuaran in Tamparuli has resurfaced.

The recurring issue, which was previously addressed in response to complaints by residents last year, raised questions about the effectiveness of the mitigation measures implemented.

In December last year, two pig farms were instructed to improve their waste management systems after complaints from nearby villagers.

The directive was issued by State Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan  who personally went down to inspect the situation at that time.
