KUNAK: State Development Office Director Samsul Dollah said funds of RM50,000 to RM100,000 can be requested by every village for economic activities.
“RM1 billion has been allocated to the Madani Community Fund this year to help rural communities,” he said in conjunction with the I Care For You: ‘Ziarah Kasih Ramadan’ (ZiKiR) outreach program here at the Kunak District Secretariat.

“The most important thing for the fund is that it is not in the form of a ‘project’ but more in the form of aid supplies of seeds and hydroponic equipment such as agricultural crops, or handicrafts for example.
“This is the best opportunity for the villagers to utilizing it optimally to develop the rural economy, generate income and reduce the cost of living for the rural population,” he added.
