Kota Kinabalu: A champion cat breeder urged the State Veterinary Services Department to be more flexible on quarantine regulations so that more Sabahans can participate in events outside and make the State proud.
Ronny Soon said currently it is easy to take the felines out for competitions, but bringing them back is a problem as the cats would be subjected to quarantine of up to two weeks.

“We don’t mind if the facilities at the quarantine centre here are airconditioned and proper like those in peninsula.
“American breeds like Maine Coons, which he specialises in, may not survive the current hot weather in rooms that are only cooled by ceiling fans in Kinarut,” he said.
