LAHAD DATU: The Community Development Leaders Unit (UPPM) organising the Charity Programme for Breaking the Fast brings advantages to disadvantaged and unfortunate communities.
UPPM Director Datuk Awang Kadin Tang said this approach can strengthen close cooperation with non-governmental organisations (NGOs), as well as assist more underprivileged communities throughout the month of Ramadan.

“Every year during the month of Ramadan, many volunteers, NGOs and corporate parties come forward through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to donate.
“We welcome and encourage more people to come forward to help those in need,” Awang said at the Breaking Fast event here last Monday.
Awang Kadin said apart from the iftar ceremony, his side is collaborating with several companies, including Sabah Softwood Berhad, to demonstrate the concern of government-linked companies (GLCs) in participating.
