THE State government initiated the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) in 1993 as one of the brainchild’s of the Institute for Development Studies (Sabah), IDS.
Tun Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad, the former prime minister of Malaysia, inaugurated the KKIP park in 1995 with the intention of stimulating industrialisation and fostering economic expansion in Sabah.
