Kota Kinabalu: Buyers of an iconic residential development in Damai here, Jesselton Twin Towers (JTT) will get to move into their high-end condominium units once its Occupation Certificate (OC) is issued by end of this month.

Jesselton Properties Sdn Bhd is the developer of JTT project which is a subsidiary company of a respectable and reputable property development company in Sabah, Jesselton Group.

Jesselton Group Executive Chairman Tan Sri David Chu said the 56-storey JTT project with 810 units was fully completed and had undergone necessary inspections. It is now waiting for issuance of OC.

He said what is special about JTT in Damai is its units enjoy a panoramic view is and recognised as the tallest building on Borneo island with height of about 188 metres.

“JTT is a 100 per cent fully residential development project and it is not a mixed development.

“Almost 80 per cent of the units have been sold out and at the moment, the buyers are mainly locals and mostly young people looking for high-end housing project with modern lifestyle.

“I always tell people to buy best residential development with best locations because what’s important is the value of the development that brings many benefits in the long-run,” he said.

David, who is also Chairman of Sabah Economic Action Council, said this to reporters at a Chinese New Year (CNY) Gathering with consultants, buyers, bankers, and lawyers at the JTT building here on Friday.

Another attractive feature, he said JTT has a Sky Bar and Sky Restaurant at level 54 and 55 where the owners can spend their leisure time and relax while waiting to see the beautiful sunset.

At night, he said people can feel the cool breeze air and wind from Mount Kinabalu. “After heavy rain, the weather would be like in Kundasang, Ranau or Kokol Hill and the owners have to wear jacket when going outside their units.”

According to David, JTT provides perfect facilities for the owners such as providing an Olympic size of a 50m swimming pool, which is the biggest ever in the State Capital, a bigger gym, and two big functions, among others.

“Actually, the construction of the project started before the Covid-19 pandemic and we believed that if not for the global pandemic, the project would have been completed earlier.

“Hence, now we are looking for more foreigners to come and buy the remaining units because for the last three years during Covid-19, the foreign investors cannot come into Sabah, or else every units be sold out,” he said.
