RANAU: An 18-year-old was rushed to Ranau Hospital, recently, after being pierced by a fishing arrow.
Following the incident, the Ranau Fire and Rescue Station was called, and a team of five, led by Operations Commander Niel Thomson Lee, arrived to assist with the removal of the metal piece that pierced the victim’s right hand.

Ranau Fire and Rescue Station Chief Ridwan Mohd Taib said they received a call regarding the incident at 9.39pm.
“The team received an emergency call from the hospital notifying us that a teenager named Eldy Jiedaminun had an arrow stuck in his right hand,” he said.
