Fears Sabah claim may be forgotten as duo clash
Both Marcos (left) and Duterte (right) had accused each other of trafficking or consuming drugs.
MANILA: A Senator reminded Filipinos not to forget the so-called claim on Sabah amid the open warfare between President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr and predecessor Rodrigo “Digong” R. Duterte over the controversial People’s Initiative to amend the Philippines 1987 Constitution.

Senator Robinhood “Robin” Padilla told the session on the proposed Philippine Maritime Zones Act they should not forget the claim.

“We must fight for our rights in Sabah. We are talking not of small islands but of a large land mass with oil and minerals over which we Filipinos have rights,” the action star stressed.

He said if Filipinos can “assert our rights in the West Philippine Sea, so must we do the same but in a peaceful manner when it comes to the Sabah claim”.
