Karamunting Assemblyman Datuk George Hiew Vun Zin said that he has discussed the need to place the vendors.

“I met about 90 vendors at the Karamunting Market when I delivered Mandarin for the Chinese New Year. They were informed about the matter and agreed to relocate to the old market site,” he said in a statement.
He said he also informed the vendors about the urgent need to improve infrastructure and facilities at the Karamunting Market.
The Sandakan Municiapl Council (MPS) will assist the vendors in the relocation process and will also provide tables, chairs and necessary equipment at the old market site.
