I sincerely hope that we have learned the lesson well and we must not just sit back on that moment of brilliance against the South Koreans.
HARIMAU Malaya’s dramatic 3-3 draw with South Korea in the AFC Asian Cup Group E tie was described by many as a gallant effort against one of the giants in Asia and pre-tournament favourite.
The performance also became a hot topic at almost every corner of the country and suddenly the early critics on the team’s poor display in the previous two matches faded.
Praises are pouring in from left, right and centre and they certainly deserved that, but we must also remind ourselves that we had actually failed to achieve anything in general.
We only played some good second half of football in the tournament.
