Sabah Karate Association successfully reclaim overall title

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Karate Association reclaimed their overall title at the 31st Makaf National Cadet, Junior and Under-21 Karate Championship held at Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara last weekend.
They won a total of nine golds, seven silvers and 10 bronzes to finish top while in second place were Selangor Karate-do Association with seven golds, four silvers and seven bronzes followed by Malaysia Hayashi Ha Karate Association with four golds, three silvers and three bronzes.

The gold medal winners were Ahmat Khairil Iman, Zurizal Mickail Zaquan, Baking Audrey Adreana, Razmi Nur Radhiah Fathiah, Mazlan Mukhriz, De Paul Annelise, Mazlan Annabel, Joseph Jude and Henry Mohd Haznil.
The silvers came from Mohd Saidin Muhd Farish Danish, Jepin Joshua Joueal, Muhd Zain Bibi Aysha, Paujin Addela Hazel, Anthony ALyssa Audrey, Saharin Syahmi Izzan and Razmi Muhd Rafiuddin Faiz while the bronze medals were delivered by Mohd Fadli Shah Muhd Irfan Shah, Imitiaz Ali Nur Shaheen Izahi, Jaimun Eddel Jerry, Jakaria Nur Hafidzatul Alma, Donny Ivy Olivera, Xueyi Chin, Robberth Anneliese Anne, Jiliko Jericho Jones Jason Jr, Zainal Mohd Zaidan and Jubili Eldrich Aaron A.
SKA secretary general Julian Chin, who said some of the athletes are competing in ongoing Sabah Games (Saga), hoped the association will continue to be successful in the new year.
“This achievement is a Christmas and New Year present for all SKA members and I hope the year 2024 will be a better year for everyone.”

He also thanked Sabah Sports Council, Youth and Sports Ministry, the parents, athletes, coaches and all the members for their support.
