Kota Kinabalu: The new special awards in the Sabah Screen Fest (SSF) 2023 encourage the use of technology and innovation in elevating the creative industry in the State, said Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif.
The special awards were the Best Cinematography Award for the Short Film category and the Best Graphics and Visual Award for the Animation category.

He said that with the creation of the two awards in SSF, the gap between technology and art can be further bridged, as well as creating a creative and IT-literate generation in line with the Ministry’s aspirations.
“Sabah Screen Fest is the only creative art technology-based competition organised in Sabah,” he said at the SSF 2023 Awards Night, here, recently.
