BEAUFORT: The Social Security Organisation (Socso) Beaufort conducted the Beaufort Cooperative Office Level Concurrent 2023 Programme at The Gem Hotel on Wednesday.
The programme, aiming to provide exposure to the role, schemes, and benefits offered by Socso, targeted employers in Beaufort, Kuala Penyu, Sipitang, Menumbok, and Membakut.

State Socso Director, Dr Mohd Ali Hindia, said around 35 participants attended the programme, officiated by Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister of Sabah and Lumadan Assemblyman Datuk Hj Ruslan Muharam.
The programme covered various topics, including explanations on the Employment Social Security Act 1969, General Regulations of the Employee Social Security 1971, Self-Employed Social Security Act 2017, Employment Insurance System Act 2018, and Housewives Social Security Act 2022.
With positive feedback received, Mohd Ali hoped for more programmes in future to increase awareness of social security among employers and the community in the lower hinterland.
A ‘Kotak Prihatin’ was delivered to two heirs of Penakat Pension Benefit recipients under Act 4 and Act 838.
