Kota Kinabalu: The annual 20LIMA:10 MIID Students’ Saturday event welcomed 600 aspiring designers from 20 public and private higher learning institutions across Malaysia at First City University College (FCUC), here, recently.
A collaborative effort between the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) and the Faculty of Design & Built Environment, FCUC, the event aimed to serve as a platform for interior design and interior architecture students to engage in creative competitions, and network with industry professionals.

The event was officially launched by the Board of Governors and Director of FCUC Tan Sri Dr Teo Chiang Liang, together with the Vice-President of MIID Dr Joe Chan Wan Hoe and Vice-Chancellor Dr Saw Sor Heoh.
Dr Saw said the event demonstrated FCUC’s commitment to fostering inter-institutional collaboration and promoting professional growth within the interior design field.
She also addressed the institution’s pride in the Faculty of Design & Built Environment, which has cultivated a reputation as one of the top higher education providers in interior architecture and design in Malaysia.
Also present were the Dean of the Faculty of Design & Built Environment Assistant Professor Chua Huwi Huwi and the Host/Event Director, IDr Fakhul Zaman bin Mohd Yusoff.
