‘Dakwah Kembara Tautan Kasih’ draws 200

SANDAKAN: Some 200 community representatives from five villages attended the ‘Program Dakwah Kembara Tautan Kasih’ in Kampung Pulau Upak, here.
Those in attendance included representatives from Kampung Pulau Shanghai, Kampung Pulau Terusan, Kampung Pulau Api-Api, Kampung Pulau Tronglit, as well as members of the surau congregation and the communities from Kampung Pulau Upak.
ADVERTISEMENT The programme was held in collaboration with the Pertubuhan Amalan Bakti dan Tarbiyah Bumiputera Sabah (ABATA), Pertubuhan Bugis Nusantara Malaysia (PRBM), Pertubuhan Kelab Belia Sihat Sabah, and Gabungan Komuniti Pasar Sandakan.
Programme Director, Mohd Farhan Osmara, said several events were also conducted.
He said the ceremony commenced with a course on corpse management, delivered by Jokoh Mohd Sha from the Sabah Islamic Affairs Department (Jheains).
A female speaker delivered a sermon emphasising the importance of understanding and teaching Fardhu Kifayah to fulfil religious obligations, Farhan said.
ADVERTISEMENT “We also visited the Asnaf community in Kampung Pulau Upak, which includes the Faqeer, orphans, single mothers and the sick,” he said in a statement.
Sports events with the community were also conducted during the afternoon session.

The event featured qasidah tunes, selawat recitations, prayers for the victims in Gaza, and discussions about the practice of selawat and the significance of revitalising the selawat ceremony.

“We also received feedback from the community following the completion of the programme.
