“Borneo Safari has been ongoing for 30 years and has consistently proved itself as one of the biggest off-road expeditions not only in Malaysia but also around South East Asia.
“JPJ Sabah is honoured to be onboard and cooperate together with SFWDA in this expedition as per usual we do not have any objections with the participants’ vehicles as the modifications done are used during the expedition’s period only,” he said.
He also revealed that some JPJ officers will be taking part in the expedition to obtain knowledge regarding off-road vehicle modifications to improve on the current legal modifications guideline.
“I would like to advise the public on behalf of the director to not modify their vehicles using the Borneo Safari participants’ vehicles as example because the modifications are only allowed for the expedition.
