Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Satta) said it has repeatedly advised tourists not to register their bookings with individual freelancers to avoid being scammed.

When it comes to money transactions, we must always be cautious especially when dealing with individuals who claimed to be travel agents, warned its Chairman Dato’ Seri Winston Liaw.

Tourists should register with licence travel agents and pay the deposit and tour fare to the travel agencies’ account, not to individual person’s account.
