Kota Kinabalu: Come to the Lean in Talk Show tomorrow (Nov 18) and you will get to hear the remarkable story of Najib Hamid, a mischievous Kampung Likas boy-turned successful chef and entrepreneur.Only 37, the boss of Serai Group has already built a business empire which now boasts 14 restaurants around the Klang Valley.The show with the theme "Be Empowered to Empower" will be held from 1pm to 6pm at Hilton Hotel, here.

Lean Sabah Co-Founder Niney Chong said there will be two sessions on My Child, My Inspiration, and Relationship & Success – Leaning in Together."This is a year-end event and I am planning to hold a talk show of this nature every year," she said.Sharifah Sakinah, the Programme Manager of MaGIC (Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre), will be moderating the first session featuring Joanna Moss (Changgih Designs) and Stephanie Chong (Sanofi Pasteur). Chong will share her experience in her journey climbing the corporate ladder in the pharmaceutical industry and donning the colours of a Product Manager while being a mother.

In the second session, Sabah's very own Ann Osman, dubbed "Athena", who is Malaysia's first female Pro-Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, will enlighten the participants on how and why she took the plunge in quitting her day job to become a fighter and signing up for Asia's biggest MMA promotion, One Championship. In November 2016, she married her business partner Effendi @ Andrey Adriano Abdullah.
