Petronas cements leadership in convenience offerings

Putra Jaya: Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB) through a partnership with Deluxe Merchant Sdn Bhd (Deluxe Merchant) recently unveiled, a'rooma at Petronas Station Putrajaya Precinct 16, further cementing the Company's leadership in convenience offerings. The partnership is part of PDB's continuous efforts to promote Malaysian businesses and upgrade the offerings for customers.

Officiated by Tan Sri Haji Mohd Ali Bin Mohd Rustam, Chairman of Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad, a'rooma is set to delight customers with its artisanal offering of healthy home-style food ranging from main courses to quick bites as well as aromatic barista-made coffee amidst a contemporary yet rustic ambience.

PDB's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dato' Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus said," We are proud and excited to have a'rooma on board as we believe they are able to provide our customers quality gourmet food and beverages amidst a cosy and stylish ambience. This partnership further adds to our stable of strategic partners in our efforts to set ourselves apart from other fuel retailers in the industry, while also promoting Malaysian businesses."

"Through these collaborations, we offer our partners a platform to grow their business, leveraging on our extensive customers reach backed by our continuous efforts to drive traffic into our stations," he added.

The second a'rooma outlet, based upon grab-and-go concept, is available at Petronas Station Penchala Link.

Deluxe Merchant aimed to expand an additional of eight outlets at Petronas Stations within the Klang Valley.

Managing Director of Deluxe Merchant, Datin Azreen Abu Noh said, "Petronas is the ideal partner for us given their strong brand association amongst Malaysians and its extensive network of petrol stations in the country.

"We are confident that a'rooma will be able to leverage on the steady flow of patronage to the stations, and vice versa, to contribute to attracting more customers when they choose to dine with us."

PDB will continue to identify strategic partnerships such as this to diversify its offerings at its stations.

Amongst the domestic petroleum retailers, PDB boasts the largest range of F&B partners, both local and international, namely McDonald's, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins, Rotiboy, Kaya Kopitiam, Kayu Nasi Kandar, Hot & Go, Asa Damai Café amongst others. – Bernama
