Kota Kinabalu: Usno President Tan Sri Pandikar Amin challenged Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar to urge federal leaders to withdraw the appeal against the High Court decision which allowed Sabah Law Society’s (SLS) judicial review on Sabah’s 40 percent entitlement stipulated under Article 112C and 112D of the Federal Constitution.

Kota Kinabalu: The State Government will look into calls from various segments for the State Attorney-General’s dismissal, following the fiasco surrounding the State’s 40 per cent constitutional entitlement on tax revenue.

Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor reaffirmed, Friday, that the State Government will never give up Sabah’s fundamental constitutional rights in relation to the 40 per cent net revenue special grant under Articles 112C and 112D of the Federal Constitution. .

IT was only after the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) government came to power that there is now a second review of Article 112D (2) of the Federal Constitution pertaining to Sabah’s 40 per cent entitlement and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor deserves the credit.

THE SLS, which filed the judicial review following an announcement by the Federal Government on April 14, 2022 on an agreement reached between the Federal and State governments, is seeking a declaration, among others, that the Federal Government’s failure to hold a second review in 1974 with the State Government was a breach and contravention of its constitutional duty stipulated under Article 112D, Clauses (1), (3) and (4) of the Federal Constitution. .

Kota Kinabalu: The Federal Government has until July to state the amount of the 40 per cent entitlement, as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
