Kota Kinabalu: Police are on the hunt for two men (pic) in connection with a fight in a pub here two weeks ago that led to the death of an Indonesian man.
Kota Kinabalu Police Chief ACP Kasim Muda said they had identified the two men as Herman and Yusof and were tracking them down.

He said the men, both foreigners, were needed for the investigation to progress under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Based on investigations so far, he said, two Indonesian men were beaten up before being stabbed with sharp objects, believed to be over a misunderstanding.
“We are also asking for cooperation from the public, for anyone with information on Herman and Yusof’s whereabouts to contact the police.
“Contact investigating officer Asst Supt Idrus Arshard at 019-8233112 or go to the nearest police station,” he said on Monday (July 1).

In the wee hours of June 16, the two victims were stabbed in a brawl at the pub in Bandaran Berjaya here.
One of them, in his 20s, was pronounced dead at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, while the other was warded there.

The men, who had valid documentation, were crew members of a fishing vessel.
