10 MoUs to strengthen Sabah’s petroleum industry
1. Petronas and Vestigo – the signing of MoU signifies Petronas steadfast commitment to steadfast commitment to strengthening Sabah’s petroleum industry and it underscores Petronas’ collective dedication to monetising the potential of these resources for the benefit of Sabah and Malaysia as a whole

2. (i) Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Limited (SSPC) and Sazma Aviation Sendirian Berhad, a subsidiary company of Sabah Air Aviation Sdn Bhd, a GLC company under purview of Sabah Ministry of Finance.
  • The signing of this MoU has a contract for the provision of the offshore helicopter services to safety transport personnel to and from offshore locations, of which Shell has two oil-producing platforms in Sabah waters, namely the Gumust-Kakap and Malikai oil platforms.

2.(ii) Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Limited (SSPC) and Neopetro Sendirian Berhad – For the provision of the accommodation vessel to house over 500 personnel during the Gumusut-Kakap platform’s turnaround campaign for 2024.

3. E&P O&M Services Sdn. Bhd. (EPOMS) and Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and Politeknik Kota Kinabalu (PKK) – This company inked its collaboration with UMS and PKK through signing of MoU and Letter of Intent (LOI) which marked the shared vision of all parties to enhance local talent development in Sabah by combining the industry expertise from EPOMS with resources from UMS and PKK. This will further encourage the involvement of local talents from various courses in the oil and gas industry.

4. Ezra Energy Sdn Bhd and Wehaya Sdn Bhd – To formalise the collaboration between these two companies to provide comprehensive Integrated Engineering Services to the Sabah oil and gas industries.

5. Enspek Subsea Sdn Bhd and Enspek Offshore Asia Sdn Bhd – To formalise the collaboration between the two companies to provide comprehensive subsea inspection and services to the Sabah Oil and Gas industries

6. Iklimega Sdn Bhd and Amtech Chemical Sdn Bhd – This collaboration is to formalise agreement between these two companies to provide a wide variety of integrated services to the Sabah oil and gas industry. This strategic partnership aims to leverage the combined expertise and resources of both parties to enhance operational efficiency, safety and innovation in engineering services

7. Nawie Oilfield Services and Wellsrx
  • To formalise the collaboration the two parties to provide a wide variety of services to the Sabah oil and gas industry including NOS Indonesia Operations.

8. Tas Institute Of Oil and Gas, Reinhausen Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, Mcdermott Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd and Landas Gemilang Sdn Bhd, and TAS Institute of Oil and McDermott Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd – Collaboration between them in the realm of nurturing human capital development and technical support for Sabah oil and gas industries

9. The government of Malaysia( represented by Institut Latihan Perindustrian (ILP) Sandakan and Institut Latihan Perindustrian Kota Kinabalu (ILP), Sabah Labour Department, Human Resource Ministry) and Eternity Subsea Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Eternity Mode Sdn Bhd) – This MoU signing is for a Strategic Partnership in offering in-house Commercial Diving Level 1 and Level 2 (Underwater Welding and Cutting) courses at ILP Sabah.
  • This collaboration aims to enhance the training program in specialised underwater services, fostering the development of skilled underwater divers in Sabah.

10. Bayam Group of companies and Pariba Petroleum Sdn Bhd – This strategic partnership aims to leverage the combined expertise and resources of both parties to enhance operations proficiency in the oil and gas industries.
