Kukusan Assemblywoman Rina Jainal said pantun, used as a figurative language among the older generation, served to provide advice, entertainment, or constructive criticism.

“Pantun has its uniqueness because the delivery of a message is gentler and polite,” she said after officiating the District Level Primary School Pantun Festival Competition at SK Bandar Tawau II, here, Wednesday.
