Croc kills man in Kinabatangan

KINABATANGAN: A 24-year-old man was fatally attacked by a crocodile at Sungai Ladang Pontion Subok, in Sukau, here, Saturday.
Firman Irwan, was pronounced dead by a medical officer at the scene.

Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station Chief Nurul Azlan Jamaluddin said their team rushed to the scene after getting a distress call at 1.32pm.
“According to the caller, the victim was attacked by a crocodile while fishing by the river.
“A search operation was launched and the victim was found at 2.30pm by members of the public some 1.2km from where he was last seen,” he said.
The body was handed over to the police for further action.
