KOTA BELUD: A nine-year-old girl who went missing early Saturday in Kampung Botung near Camp Paradise, here, was found safe the same day.

Adira Abdullah was discovered unharmed at approximately 3.15pm in Kampung Bobot, roughly 5km from where she was last seen.

Kota Belud Fire and Rescue Station Chief Syazwan Latun said they were alerted at 12.05pm and rushed eight personnel to the area.

“We were informed that the child had been found in Kampung Bobot, about 5km from her last known location,” Syazwan said.

He added that Adira was uninjured and reunited with her family.

The girl’s foster mother revealed that while Adira has no known health issues, she does experience frequent hallucinations.

The child was first found missing around 6.30am.

The operation concluded at 3.40pm following the girl’s safe return to her family.
