Elderly woman locked in house found safe

TAWAU: A 69-year-old woman who was reportedly locked in her home was found safe but weak on Saturday at Batu 5, Jalan Kinabutan Tiku.
Seven firefighters from the Tawau Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 3.52 p.m.

Within 10 minutes, the squad arrived at the location, which was around 7km away.
Police officers on the location gained entry into the house before the team arrived.
The woman was found to be weak and was stabilised by medical officials before being taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Tawau Fire and Rescue Station team assisted by lifting the woman onto a stretcher and carrying her to the ambulance.

The operation ended at 5.07 pm after establishing no further danger at the location.
