State Govt allocates RM100.17m for youth, sports development this year

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the state government has allocated RM100.17 million for youth management and development and sports advancement in Sabah this year.
Of this amount, RM16.89 million has been allocated to implement various leadership, skills, and entrepreneurship programmes and activities aimed at youth empowerment to achieve socioeconomic well-being in line with the Sabah Youth Policy (DBS).

"The State Government is striving to implement various youth programmes involving leadership and skills development to empower young people, as has been done by the state of Sarawak and other neighbouring countries," he said at the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) International Conference (Sico) Borneo 2024, here, Sunday.
His speech was delivered by State Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Ellron Angin.
