Bus driver in fatal Genting crash a serial offender with no licence

Kuala Lumpur: The driver of a tour bus that crashed in Genting Highlands this morning, killing two tourists from China, does not have a driving licence and has a record of traffic violations, police said.
Bentong police chief Zaiham Kahar said the 32-year-old man had 27 previous traffic summonses for various offences.

He added that the two male victims who died at the scene were identified as Zhang Ping, 58, and Wang Shuhong, 49.
The accident involved a total of 18 foreign tourists, the bus driver, an assistant and a tour guide.
“The bodies of the two victims were taken to Bentong Hospital, along with six injured victims, while 13 other injured victims were taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital,” he said here today.
