Local parties must run Sabah: Star

Kota Kinabalu: Party Solidarity Tanah Airku (STAR) Wiramuda Chief, Jordan Jude Ellron said peninsula parties already have the advantage of 75 per cent of the total seats out 222 seats throughout Malaysia.
He said this makes it difficult for Sabah and Sarawak to defend their rights through the constitution.
“Sabah is rich in cultural diversity and heritage. We face a big challenge when parties from peninsula try to grab over seats through certain Sabah leaders.
“All parties are reminded to respect the autonomy and sovereignty of Sabah within the framework of Malaysia.
