Two escaped KPDN detainees recaptured in Semporna

SEMPORNA: Two detainees of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) who escaped from their Semporna KPDN office were rearrested in two separate locations.

District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said they received a phone call at 1.07pm on Thursday informing that the two detainees had escaped.

Farhan said police immediately took preliminary measures by launching Op Tutup and Op Kesan.

Both fugitives were recaptured thanks to public tipoffs.
